Every year in India, there is a festival of colors! in the cold and dreary autumn months, we dream of the lush colors of spring, and there is none the better a manifestation for such a sensation than Holi.
Altough it not the season of Holi yet, you can still fly to India!
Holi ( होली ( Holi ) ) , sometimes called party colors or Phalgunotsava, is the Hindu festival dedicated to the spring equinox . It finds its origin in the Vasantotsava both a rite of spring and celebration of fertility. It is celebrated throughout India for two days during the full moon of the month of Phalguna, which is in February-March. Holi is dedicated to Krishna in northern India and Kama in the south.
Holi is celebrated with particular fervor in Orissa and in the region of Mathura, the birthplace of Krishna.
The night of the first day of the festival, a fire is lit to remind the cremation of Holika . On the second day , known as Rangapanchami of people , dressed in white , with flowing color pigments they pounce on each other , then it is customary to apologize after sacrificed colorful rite by ” Bura na mano , Holi hai ” (“Do not be angry, it’s Holi ” in Hindi ) . Holi is also invited to share meals, prepared especially for this occasion, with the devotees.
The pigments used have a specific meaning: green for harmony, orange for optimism, blue to red for vitality and joy and love.
According to the writer Indologist Alain Danielou, the festival of Holi is “the day when all castes mingle, where lower have the right to insult those to whom they had to bow throughout the year “.
BLACK:
Without black, no color has any depth. But if you mix black with everything, suddenly there’s shadow – no, not just shadow, but fullness. You’ve got to be willing to mix black into your palette if you want to create something that’s real.

The snow goose need not bathe to make itself white. Neither need you do anything but be yourself.

White means safety and cleanliness. As opposed to black, white usually has a positive connotation. White can represent a successful beginning. In heraldry, white represents faith and purity.
RED:

Red is the color of fire and blood, is associated with energy, war, danger, strength, power, determination, and with passion, desire and love.
Red is an emotionally intense color. It ups the human metabolism, accelerates breathing and raises blood pressure. It has a very high rate of visibility, which is why the stop signs, traffic lights, and fire-fighting equipment are all red. In heraldry, red is used to indicate courage. This color is often found in many national flags.
PURPLE:

Purple combines the stability of blue and energy of red. It symbolizes power, nobility, luxury, ambition, wealth and extravagance. Purple is also associated with wisdom, dignity, independence, creativity, mystery and magic.
It is a rare color in nature.

The pink color is soothing and gentle color reminiscent of innocent romance. Pale pink attracts energy, relaxes and makes those who wear it more approachable and less severe – ideal for a first date!
It symbolizes femininity, elegance, elegance, refinement, and is often given as an expression of admiration. Pink roses showing gratitude and happiness, and have a gentler meaning than red roses.

Blue is the color of men, according to research, it is highly revered among males. Dark blue is associated with depth, expertise, and stability, which is often used as a corporate color.
